First Annual Joe Woods Wildwood Express Tribute January 2006

The Joe Woods Wildwood Express Show at the Dixie Theater was a famous Saturday night regular in Ruston for 10 years akin to other legendary shows like the nearby Louisiana Hayride. One of the longest-running shows during the Dixie Theater's first lifetime, Joe Woods Wildwood Express was also one of the last shows seen in the theater, and fittingly was the first in the newly renovated Dixie Center for the Arts. Directed by CJ Matlock and Joe Woods' widow, Mary Ann Woods, this show featured many of the original band members and performers. Highlighting the line-up was Wildwood Express graduate and Nashville star, Linda Davis.
