Marquee Rental

(for public rental not associated with a DCA or rented event, subject to availability)

Theater Rental Rates

(effective January 1, 2006)

By or For or For the Benefit of a Non-Profit or Charitable Organization: $250.00 per day

For-Profit: $500.00

A $200 deposit is required to secure the space.  This needs to be brought in to the DCA at the signing of the contract and the rules and regulations form.  DCA will return the security deposit within fourteen (14) days after the Renter’s use of the facilities terminates upon DCA’s determination that there has been no damage to DCA facilities or equipment and that the performance space (both stage and backstage areas) have been left clean.

An additional $50 charge will be added for cleaning of the house and lobby.  Please note this charge does not include the performing space or backstage area.

 

Security

Renter is required to provide security at its own expense for the event.  Security shall be provided solely by off-duty officers of the Ruston Police Department (“RPD”) or the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office (“LPSO").  The number of security officers required by the DCA is a minimum of two.  If additional officers are required by either the "RPD” or “LPSO” during the event, the Renter will be responsible for payment of the officers.  Proof of contracted security must be given to the DCA at least seven days prior to move-in date.  Please call the DCA office for the telephone numbers for the above departments.

 

Hourly Rates

Theatre Use After Midnight: $100 per hour

 

Equipment Rentals

Grand Piano: $100.00 per event.  New 7' Yamaha Grand (must be tuned by DCA approved technician at renter’s expense)

Follow Spot: $30.00 per day

Microphones: $30.00 per mic per day (spare batteries for cordless and lavalier mics must be provided to the sound technician by the Renter – 9 volt)


If equipment is not available, Renter is responsible for renting own equipment with prior approval from the Artistic Director

 

Other Equipment

DCA will provide the basic sound and light package as part of the rental fee.  (Please contact the Artistic Director for the description of the basic package)  If anything needs to be added or moved, owned by DCA or rented, prior approval must be obtained by the Artistic Director.

 

Technicians

If needed, Renter agrees to hire, at an additional charge, all technicians from approved DCA contact list.

  • Sound technician: $50 for the first four hours.  Any time after is an additional $10 per hour.
  • Light technician: $50 for the first four hours.  Any time after is an additional $10 per hour.
  • Follow Spot Operator: $30 for the first four hours.  Any time after is an additional $10 per hour.
  • Stage Hand: $30 for the first four hours.  Any time after is an additional $10 per hour.
